Checked SOS — how long since we successfully checked all the sources needed for this page. Failed attempts do not reset this clock. Checks slow down when the connection fails.

Numbers from SOS as of — the time stamped on the newest SOS file. The SOS republishes every 15 minutes or less on election night, so this will normally read minutes, not seconds. That gap is the SOS, not this page.

Screen updated — how long since this phone last pulled from our server. It pulls every 5 seconds; the thin line below is the countdown to the next pull.

Dot — green: our source checks are recent, not necessarily the vote totals. Amber: a check failed or is running late. Red: a source has not been checked successfully in 90 seconds, so the numbers may be old.
